Job Description: Job Description The Substation Drafter supports the design of substation engineering projects.
Primary Responsibilities: Create electrical drawings for facilities, such as lighting systems, power systems, communications, security, and fire detection in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC)Develop entry-level drawings by using computer-aided design software under the direct supervision of other Electrical Technicians or Engineers Demonstrate knowledge of procedures for production of design developments and construction documents, and a thorough knowledge of engineering planning, drafting, and detailing Perform other duties as needed
Required Qualifications: Electrical Engineering Degree Strong computer skills Microsoft Office, AutoCADDatabase/Document Management familiarity An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred Qualifications: 2-5 years of professional experience with AutoCADExperience in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil facilities We offer a generous benefits package including company-paid medical insurance, paid holidays, 401k and paid time off (PTO)Upon a conditional job offer, a drug test and background check will be required.
