About the role

We are recruiting for a Senior Electrical Engineer / Project Lead to oversee the technical delivery of utility-scale solar PV, BESS, and high-voltage substation projects ranging from 2 MW to 100+ MW.
Key Responsibilities: Lead electrical engineering across design, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Coordinate electrical, civil, mechanical, and structural engineering teams. Manage power system studies, technical specifications, equipment selection, and design reviews. Liaise with utilities, RTOs/ISOs, project owners, and EPC contractors. Ensure compliance with NEC, NESC, IEEE, and relevant safety standards. Support project delivery, quality control, cost optimisation, and technical risk management.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.5–10+ years of direct utility-scale solar PV, BESS, and/or substation engineering experience. Strong knowledge of NEC, NESC, IEEE standards, and utility interconnection requirements. Experience with ETAP, SKM, PVSyst, CYME, or similar engineering software. Strong technical leadership and project coordination skills.
Preferred: PE license, RTO/ISO interconnection experience, and HV commissioning or relay coordination experience.📍 Charlotte, NC — fully office-based, Monday to Friday✈️ Approximately 10% travel Interested in taking the lead on large-scale renewable energy projects?
