Commercial Account Manager, Building Products Rockland County, NY | Hybrid (onsite 4 days a week)$80,000 to $90,000 base salary Monday - Friday: 8 am-5 pm Our client, a manufacturer serving the commercial construction market, is adding a Commercial Account Manager to own a book of established customer accounts. You'll be the go to contact for your customers, taking each project from first conversation to signed order and staying involved through delivery.
The role: Own and expand a portfolio of existing commercial accounts Build trusted relationships with buyers, project leads, and decision makers Collect the project details needed to quote accurately: plans, specs, photos, and site conditions Work with internal teams across estimating, design, production, and project management Walk customers through pricing, scope, and timelines, and set clear expectations Stay on top of open quotes and keep deals moving Keep your CRM, pipeline, and forecast clean and up to date Spot new opportunities within existing accounts Catch scope and schedule issues before an order is locked in Hand off every order to operations with complete, accurate information What we're looking for 5+ years in account management or B2B sales, ideally in construction or building products Experience juggling multiple customers, quotes, and projects at once Comfort reading basic construction drawings and specs Confidence discussing pricing and commercial terms Solid CRM habits and consistent follow through Strong communication and organizational skills
Bonus points: Experience selling to general contractors, architects, dealers, or government buyers Background in estimating, takeoffs, or bid review Familiarity with building codes Experience in a custom or made to order manufacturing environment Hub Spot or ERP experience Managing long sales cycles or national accounts
