Senior Product Designer
About the role
- Solid product design experience, ideally with time spent at early-stage or fast-moving startups where you had tons of ownership.
- A considered portfolio with zoomed-in detail and zoomed-out strategy.
- Craft obsession: Strong command of design foundations like typography, space, color theory, as well as UX clarity, and micro-interaction care.
- Comfort prototyping with code. You're not afraid to open a terminal, work next to engineers, or use AI tooling like Claude Code to ship real components
- A bias toward building. You don't think the design is done when the Figma isStrong inclination toward collaboration, comfort operating independently and remotely
- The ability to tell stories, and push past the obvious
- Experience designing for technical audiences a plus (developers, security engineers, DevOps)
- Figma mastery. It's our tool of choice, but increasingly not the only one
- Speak the web. Read HTML and CSS without flinching. Inspect and edit a page comfortably. If you can write some, even better. If you've shipped real code, better still.
- At Mondoo, we believe in an equitable and transparent interview process. Here is what you can expect (subject to change with notice):Recruiter Screen: 30 minute phone call with a Talent Partner
- Hiring Manager Screen: 45 minute Google Meet with Dominik Richter
- Mini-Loop: 30 minute Google Meet with a PM, 30 minute Google Meet with Senior Product Designer
- Collaboration Session: 45 minutes via Google Meet with Designer + Hiring Manager (prompt to be shared at this stage)
- Final Chance for Questions/Comments: 30 minute Google Meet with Hiring Manager, Dominik Richter
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
