About the role
- Maintain a thorough understanding of employment laws to minimize risk and ensure compliance.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of Amentum policies and procedures and communicate its intents clearly to managers and employees to minimize risk and ensure compliance
- Maintain a strong understanding of the Service Contract Act (SCA) and Collective Bargaining Agreements/Unions to include CBA and FAR related laws, benefits and compliance, and work closely with payroll on associated changes
- Maintain a good understanding of OCONUS International Assignment Agreements, international labor laws, benefits, etc.
- Work closely with Program Management and Talent Acquisition to set up and facilitate job openings, backfills, and job offers, Maintain timely oversight of Workday requirements to ensure accurate entry of information and timely I-9/onboarding requirements.
- Successful experience with employee and management relations and investigation skills.
- Have a good understanding of all HR and payroll processes to better assist leadership and employees with inquiries.
- Assess training needs and facilitate and/or coordinate non-operational training as requested by the program.
- Lead group presentations on company policies, processes, and recurring programs such as orientation and benefits enrollment.
- Support program start-up and contract win activities, including communicating basic requirements, timely program organization setup, communications, briefings, onboarding, coordination with leadership, contracts, pricing, and functional teams, to pursue time-sensitive system setup.
- Operate with minimal supervision and build strong relationships across all levels of the organization. Demonstrate effective communication, collaboration, facilitation, analytical ability, and sound judgment.
- Proactively research labor laws and regulations and recommend appropriate actions.
- Demonstrate adaptability, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to lead and manage organizational change.
