About the role
- MISSION-CRITICAL ELECTRICIAN, DATA CENTERPhoenix, Arizona | Traveling W-2 | 60+ Hours | $200/Day Per Diem, All 7 Days
- Selection is open for Mission-Critical Electricians. Very few will make it.
- TRIFECTA deploys Mission-Critical Electricians onto hyperscale and colocation data centers. Every one is a journeyman. Every one has proved they meet the TRIFECTA mission-critical standard.
- THIS IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE ALREADY DONE THE WORKOn at least two data center builds, through turnover, you have:
- Worked from one-lines, riser diagrams, panel schedules, specs and manufacturer install instructions, and kept redlines accurate for the as-builts
- Set and landed switchboards, panelboards, dry-type transformers, PDUs, remote power panels and overhead busway, with connections to transfer switches and UPSTerminated your work to the manufacturer's torque spec, with phasing and labeling to the drawings and the owner's standard
- Pulled parallel feeders and ran tray and pipe to spec the first time
- Grounded and bonded gear, tray and racks to the drawings
- Tested and documented your own work: meggered (insulation resistance), continuity, phase rotation, torque logs, QA checklists and closure of your own punch items
- Supported Level 2 and Level 3 commissioning: pre-functional checklists, installation verification and startup alongside manufacturers' technicians
- Wired power monitoring (EPMS) where assigned: meters, current transformers and control wiring to the gear
- Where your work touched an operating facility, worked under permits, MOPs and change control, without shortcuts
- You understand why A and B feeds matter, and why one crossed feed or mislabeled circuit can defeat redundancy in a hall built to have two paths.
- NFPA 70E training required. OSHA 30 required before deployment.
- Commercial experience, however strong, is not this mission. This requires completed data center work.
- HOW DEPLOYMENT WORKSYou are deployed to a mission.
- Before it ends, we line up your next one. Then the next.
- You don't wait on a layoff to find out where you go next.
- You choose your missions.
- You are deployed for your capability, alongside professionals at your level.
- Stop Work Authority is on every order, and we stand behind you when you use it.
- THE DEPLOYMENT PACKAGE$70/hour, W-260+ hours per week
- Overtime at 1.5× after 40 hours: $105/hour$200/day per diem, all 7 days, when you deploy from outside the area and complete your scheduled workweek
- Travel to the mission arranged and paid by TRIFECTAMobilization paid, including travel time
- Company-paid travel home on extended deployments
- Required deployment licensing and reciprocity costs covered where applicable
- Medical, dental, vision and 401(k) that continue from mission to mission
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
