Senior Business Systems Analyst – D365 F&O AWM
Locations: Rochester, Dallas or Trumbull
Job Type: Full time, permanent
Urgently seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst with strong experience across Microsoft D365 F&O Warehousing, SCM and Advanced Warehouse Management (AWM). This role will support the design, configuration, testing, implementation and ongoing optimisation of operational systems across manufacturing, supply chain and warehouse environments. You'll be working hands-on with D365 F&O, SCM and Advanced Warehouse Management across a manufacturing and distribution environment, with the opportunity to influence how the systems and processes operate globally.
Ideal Background: The ideal candidate will combine hands-on D365 F&O configuration experience with very strong operational knowledge of warehousing, supply chain and manufacturing environments. You should be comfortable working directly with end users, troubleshooting complex system issues and supporting AWM processes from configuration and testing through to implementation and ongoing optimisation
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide functional support and expertise across D365 F&O Supply Chain Management and Advanced Warehouse Management.
  • Analyse business requirements and translate them into functional specifications, system designs and process improvements.
  • Configure and support sites, warehouses, locations, reservation hierarchies, batch and serial number tracking within D365 F&O.Configure and work with Advanced Warehouse Management functionality
  • Participate in testing warehouse processes, including pick/put transactions, counting journals and other mobile device/warehouse scenarios using handheld devices or simulators.
  • Support D365 F&O implementations, deployments, releases, optimisation and hypercare activities.
  • Lead and coordinate functional and business-process testing, ensuring issues are identified, documented and resolved.
  • Work with developers and technical teams to provide functional specifications and support the development of system modifications and integrations.
  • Document end-to-end processes, business scenarios, work instructions and SOPs.
  • Lead system demonstrations, process walkthroughs and training sessions for end users and key users.
  • Analyse system issues and identify practical solutions to operational and transactional problems.
  • Support reporting and data analysis using tools such as Power BI, SQL and D365 reporting capabilities.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, supply chain, distribution and warehouse stakeholders to identify improvements and best practices.
  • Support interfaces between WMS, WCS, TMS, ERP and warehouse automation systems.
  • Key Experience:
  • Demonstrable experience working with Advanced Warehouse Management in a live D365 environment.
  • Good understanding of end-to-end warehouse and inventory processes, from receiving and put-away through picking, movement, counting and dispatch.
  • Experience translating operational requirements into system solutions, process improvements and functional specifications.
  • Comfortable working across both business and technical teams, acting as the link between end users, developers and IT.Experience supporting implementations, upgrades, testing, releases and post-go-live environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate system issues and understand their impact on day-to-day operations.
  • Exposure to warehouse automation, WMS/WCS integrations, mobile devices or material handling systems would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, SQL or D365 reporting would be beneficial.
  • Ideally 7+ years' experience in business systems, functional analysis, operations IT or a similar environment.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with warehouse, manufacturing, supply chain and business stakeholders
