Location: Pleasant Prairie, WI
Pay: $26–$48/hour, based on experience and certifications
Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday On-Call: Approximately once per month
Position Overview: We are seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to support surgical procedures and help ensure a safe, efficient, and sterile operating room environment. The Surgical Technologist will work closely with surgeons, registered nurses, and other members of the surgical team to prepare for procedures, maintain sterile technique, and provide essential technical support throughout surgery.
Responsibilities: Assist with surgical procedures under the direction of the surgeon and RN.Prepare and maintain the operating room, instruments, equipment, and supplies. Apply proper sterile and aseptic techniques throughout surgical procedures. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide appropriate instruments and supplies. Ensure surgical equipment is functioning properly and safely. Support patient safety and infection prevention protocols. Clean, organize, and restock operating rooms and sterile core areas. Communicate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Perform the technical and physical duties associated with the Surgical Technologist role. Maintain professionalism and effective communication in a variety of clinical and emotional situations. Participate in an on-call rotation approximately once per month.
Qualifications: Associate degree in Surgical Technology preferred/required. Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology or Operating Room Technician (ORT) program. Current NBSTSA certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).Current BLS/CPR certification, or ability to obtain certification within 6 weeks of hire. Strong understanding of surgical procedures, human anatomy, sterile technique, and operating room equipment. Ability to read, write, speak, hear, and comprehend English. Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
