Job Description: Industrial Painter – 2nd Shift
Pay: $20/hour
Shift: 2nd Shift Training: Training provided on 1st Shift Join our team as an Industrial Painter working on aircraft parts and components. In this role, you will apply primer, topcoat paint, and other spray-applied coatings while following government, customer, and company quality standards. Experience Accepted We are interested in candidates with paint gun experience, including experience as a: Auto Painter Parts Painter Boat Painter Industrial Painter Any position requiring the use of a paint spray gun Aircraft painting experience is not required.
Responsibilities: Apply primers, topcoats, and other spray-applied coatings to aircraft parts, components, and assemblies. Read and follow specifications, work orders, and other related documents. Clean grease, dirt, and other contaminants from parts and prepare surfaces for painting. Remove rust using acid, wire brushes, steel wool, or other approved methods. Mask areas that should not be painted and fill cavities or dents with putty to create smooth surfaces. Calculate and follow required paint and coating mix ratios to achieve the correct color and finish. Operate spray equipment, adjusting valves and nozzles to control spray width and pressure. Apply paint, enamel, glaze, gel coat, lacquer, wax, and other protective or decorative coatings using spray equipment and brushes. Properly select and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).Follow respirator safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe work area. Clean and maintain painting equipment using approved solvents and procedures. Follow all company, customer, government, environmental, and safety requirements. Complete required documentation and recordkeeping accurately.
