About the role
Job Overview: Provides BLS care to customers during special events as necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations and policies, procedures, and standards.
- Must provide exceptional customer service as outlined by HEMT and the event coordinator.
- Provides effective and accurate communication with patients, families, physicians, and other members of the care team
- Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements to achieve clinical, satisfaction and/or efficiency outcomes.
- Provides BLS care to patients during events as necessary.
- Assists ALS staff in emergent and non-emergent responses as deemed necessary.
- Moving patients safely according to clinical and operational guidelines.
- Documents patient information in EHR and/or other electronic system in accordance with program standards, department policies/procedures.
- Safely and efficiently transfers care of patients to other care providers in appropriate setting.
- Remains in good standing with the HEMT office of the Medical Director.
- Must have the ability to meet minimum shifts throughout the year as set by leadership.
Required Qualifications:
- 1 year of prehospital care experience
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)EMT- Basic MN Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board
- Nationally Registered Emergency Med Tech (NREMT-B)
