Network Engineer – Phoenix, AZ | Direct Hire We are seeking a hands-on Network Engineer for a permanent opportunity in Phoenix, AZ. This position is ideal for someone with strong Cisco routing and switching experience who enjoys implementation, troubleshooting, and supporting network infrastructure in a production environment.
Location: Phoenix, AZ – Local candidates only
Schedule: Hybrid – 4 days onsite / 1 day remote Employment: Direct Hire / W2 Only (No subvendors/3rd parties)Work Authorization: U.S. Citizen, Green Card
Travel: Some travel required for office/network deployments
Top Technical Skills: Cisco Routing & Switching – strong hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco network infrastructure Firewalls / Network Security – Palo Alto highly preferred; Cisco Firepower, Juniper, or comparable enterprise firewall experience considered Wireless / Meraki – hands-on Cisco Meraki experience strongly preferred
What We're Looking For: Strong hands-on Cisco routing and switching experience Experience with BGP, EIGRP, and enterprise networking protocols Cisco Meraki wireless, switching, and/or SD-WAN experience Palo Alto firewall experience highly preferred Experience with Cisco Firepower, Juniper, or other enterprise firewall platforms Network security fundamentals and a security-minded approach Experience implementing, supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting production networks Ability to work with ISPs and third-party vendors Experience supporting new office/network deployments Ability to review network requirements and determine appropriate equipment and capacity Experience with cabling, network closets, access points, switches, routers, and physical network infrastructure Comfortable being hands-on during deployments, including working in network closets and assisting with cabling when necessary Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Self-motivated and able to independently own projects and issues through completion Willingness and ability to learn new technologiesCCNA or CCNP is preferred but not required. Hands-on production experience is more important than certifications alone. This is a hands-on engineering position with a strong emphasis on implementation, deployment, troubleshooting, and support, with some network design responsibilities.
