About the role

Our client, a growing PE-backed B2B services platform is currently looking for a dynamic VP of Finance. The Vice President of Finance is a key member of the leadership team, reporting directly to the CFO, and is responsible for guiding the company’s financial strategy, strengthening core financial processes, and supporting value creation in a scaling organization. This is an exciting opportunity to partner directly with the CFO, PE Group, and senior management to accelerate EBITDA and cash flow, and to build the financial infrastructure required for scale and a successful exit.
KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategic Partnership Serve as the primary financial liaison within the business, delivering transparent reporting, KPI dashboards, and performance insights. Support value-creation initiatives, cost discipline, operational improvements, and commercial effectiveness. Lead financial workstreams, including M&A modeling and integration planning. Support exit readiness through data room preparation, financial modeling, and diligence responses. Financial Planning, Analysis & Performance Management Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes with a focus on EBITDA, margin expansion, and cash generation. Build dynamic financial models to evaluate scenarios, growth opportunities, and strategic initiatives. Implement KPI frameworks that drive accountability across the organization. Identify performance gaps early and partner with functional leaders to implement corrective actions. Leadership and Team Development Build a high-performance finance team capable of supporting a PE-grade operating cadence. Foster a culture of accountability, urgency, and continuous improvement. Develop talent and succession plans aligned with the company’s growth trajectory. Cash, Working Capital, and Treasury Maintain tight control over cash flow, working capital, and liquidity. Manage debt covenants and compliance reporting. Support capital allocation decisions aligned with strategic priorities. Operational Finance and Scalability Implement systems and processes that support operational excellence. Partner with cross-functional leaders—operations, sales, product, HR and marketing —to improve margin, efficiency, and decision-making. Support integration and alignment following acquisitions.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.10–15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience. Direct experience in a private-equity-backed environment. Proven track record of improving EBITDA and cash flow. Skills and
Competencies: Exceptional financial modeling, analytical, and strategic planning capabilities. Ability to influence cross-functional leaders and drive operational alignment. High integrity, resilience, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
