The GIS Installation Service Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the installation, commissioning support, and successful execution of Product-Only Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) projects at customer sites throughout North America and potentially internationally. This highly travel-intensive position serves as the primary field representative for GIS installation activities, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards, customer requirements, and project schedules.
THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:•Act as the primary onsite technical representative for Product-Only GIS projects.•Monitor installation progress and ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and installation procedures.•Identify and resolve technical, logistical, and installation-related issues that may impact project schedules or performance.•Conduct site inspections and provide detailed progress reports to internal project teams and management.•Support commissioning activities and collaborate closely with engineering, project management, and service teams.•Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, and other project stakeholders.•Experience with high-voltage electrical equipment installation, commissioning, maintenance, or project execution preferred.•Strong understanding of electrical substation equipment and construction practices.•Proven ability to lead and coordinate field activities across multiple stakeholders.•Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and installationdocumentation.
