Operations Assistant We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized Operations Assistant to join our team in New York on a temporary 12-month basis. In this role, you will play a central part in supporting our core publishing operations workflow, ensuring that title databases, digital records, and physical archives are meticulously maintained. This is an ideal opportunity for an operational problem-solver seeking hands-on experience in publishing operations, metadata management, and transatlantic cross-team collaboration.
Responsibilities: Maintain and update title data in internal and external Content Management Systems (CMS); pull reports and query title databases. Digitize physical assets; download, organize, and archive digital files according to standard naming protocols. Liaise directly with UK-based team members to ensure alignment across ongoing publishing workflows. Order book copies from the warehouse, handle outbound mailings/packages, and provide general office administrative support.
Requirements: Strong organizational skills, close attention to detail, and proven accuracy in data entry and proofreading. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (spreadsheets, basic formulas, data filtering) and standard office hardware (scanning/printing).Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with polished written and verbal communication skills across internal and international teams. Ability to handle proprietary and sensitive organizational information with confidentiality. High School Diploma or GED required (Associate/Bachelor's degree a plus).Cover letter is required Location(Hybrid) Candidates must reside in the NY tri-state area and be able to work in the office 4 days per week.
