As a Lead Cybersecurity Analyst, Payment Fraud Strategy, you will help shape Target's enterprise approach to payment fraud risk.This role owns the strategic direction for the Payment Fraud Strategy Area, helping Target maintain a future ready payment fraud defense that enables omni channel growth, protects guest trust, and supports smart fraud investment decisions.This role is responsible for setting strategy, aligning partners, connecting work to measurable outcomes, identifying risks and gaps, and ensuring Theft, Fraud & Abuse delivers measurable payment fraud results for the business.About the role:As a Lead Cybersecurity Analyst, Payment Fraud Strategy, you will: Own and evolve the Payment Fraud Strategy Area, including the vision, strategic priorities, roadmap, OKRs, operating rhythms, and executive level narrativePartner with execution owning teams to ensure fraud work across Target.com, stores, Circle Card, and emerging payment experiences is aligned to the enterprise fraud strategy and measurable business outcomesTranslate fraud trends, business priorities, guest experience considerations, and risk signals into clear strategic direction for partners and leadersCreate visibility into progress against payment fraud outcomes, including fraud dollars as a percentage of sales, fraud prevented, manual review effectiveness, model performance, and false positive reductionIdentify strategic gaps, risks, dependencies, duplicative efforts, and investment needs across the payment fraud ecosystemAlign cross functional partners across Cybersecurity, Payment Operations, Product, Technology, Data Science, Finance, Stores, Digital, Legal, Compliance, and vendor teamsShape roadmap priorities and modernization decisions by connecting fraud trends, business outcomes, partner work, and investment needs into a clear strategic directionSupport executive communication by clearly articulating strategy, progress, tradeoffs, risks, and recommendationsEnsure payment fraud strategy supports secure business growth, low friction guest experiences, profitable sales, and protection of guest trustMaintain a forward looking view of emerging payment fraud risks, including account takeover, synthetic identity, real time payments and refunds, cross channel fraud, scams, agentic commerce, and new payment experiencesPartner with owning teams on fraud capability evaluations, proof of concept learnings, data opportunities, and modernization themes to ensure they ladder back to enterprise strategyBuild trusted relationships with business and technology partners, helping teams understand fraud risk, make informed tradeoffs, and stay aligned to Target's broader payment fraud objectivesCore responsibilities of this job are described within this job description. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.About you:4 year degree or equivalent experience7 plus years of experience in cybersecurity, fraud strategy, payment fraud, financial crimes, risk management, product risk, or a related fieldDemonstrated understanding of fraud threats, payment ecosystems, chargebacks, digital fraud, identity fraud, account takeover, scams, card fraud, or cross channel fraud patternsExperience developing strategy, aligning and influencing partners/roadmaps and connecting enterprise work to measurable outcomesAbility to analyze fraud trends, performance metrics, control effectiveness, and operational outcomes to influence decisionsExperience partnering with cross functional teams such as Cybersecurity, AI, Data Sciences, Product, Tech, Finance, Operations, Legal, Compliance, or external vendorsStrong communication, storytelling, written, verbal and presentation skillsAbility to lead down, across, and up to persuade, negotiate and drive desired outcomesStrong problem solving skills, sound judgment and ability to navigate ambiguityAbility to build trust with business partners while challenging assumptions and escalating risk when neededThis position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member's core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
