6-12+ Month Contract Position Location – Remote ( Must be CST or EST time zones)Our client is looking to add an IT QA Tester to their team that will be responsible for developing and executing formal test plans/test scripts to ensure the delivery of quality software applications or data repository releases.
Position Description: Involved in test planning, writing test cases, developing test scripts, test case automation, and test execution. Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status. Document, track, and thoroughly communicate defects/bugs discovered during testing, using our established issue tracking system Collects and analyzes data for software process evaluation or data repository requirements and improvements and integrates them into business processes to address the needs of the business. Documents all problems and assists in their resolution. Perform various types of testing, including functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT)Work closely with software developers, product managers, and other QA team members to understand product specifications and ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Position Requirements: Bachelor's Degree is preferred but not required 10+ years of solid experience working as a QA Tester / Automation experience is preferred but not required Must have experience in Financial Testing (Commissions, Billing, Premium Payments and General Ledger)Date Lake experience is preferred Experience working in Insurance or Healthcare is a big plus Must have experience working on Large/Complex Projects Data mapping skills are a plus In-depth understanding of Quality Engineering in Agile Scrum environments, including experience drafting user stories, using acceptance criteria to form test cases, story point sizing, and QA task creation best practices The anticipated hourly rate range for this position is ($58-62/hr). Actual hourly rate will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
