HTI is assisting a global paper packaging manufacturer with their search for experienced Maintenance Technicians to join the team at the start-up facility in Spartanburg, SC!
Pay range: $32.00 – $33.00 / hour, depending on experience and education
Work hours: 1st, 2nd, and 3rdshift available (Mon-Fri)
Location: Spartanburg, SCThese are direct hire, full-time roles
Summary: You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of our production equipment. Your focus will be on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and minimizing downtime to keep operations running efficiently. We are looking for proactive Maintenance Technicians who enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, value safety, and thrive in a team-oriented culture.
Requirements
Must have: 3+ years as of recent experience as a Maintenance Technician within the manufacturing industry, responsible for maintenance of production and packing machinery, conveyors, and other facility equipment Must have technical degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance or Mechatronics Proven experience with mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems; PLC and electrical repair experience preferredCMMS or EAM experience; intermediate computer/MS Office skills Strong troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skillsA commitment to safety and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures Good communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships Experience in the paper, paperboard, cardboard or other packaging manufacturing industry is a plus Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Key Responsibilities: Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on plant and production equipment Assist with the installation, calibration, and alignment of new equipment or automation systems Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues to minimize production disruptions Conduct routine inspections, clean and lubricate machinery, and replace worn parts (e.g., bearings, belts, gears) to prevent failures Prioritize and complete maintenance tasks in line with the work schedule Respond to breakdowns and emergency work orders promptly Initiate, update, and close work orders using the maintenance system Ensure the accurate tracking and inventory of all parts and tools Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintenance procedures Participate in team meetings and safety activities Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and operations teams
