Job Title : Front Desk Coordinator Employer : Alaska Teamster-Employer Service Corporation Job Location : Anchorage, AK Work Schedule : Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, with 1 hour lunch between noon and 1:00 pm. Wage & Benefits : $25.00 per hour plus benefits package, generous paid time off, and paid holidays Position Summary : The Front Desk Coordinator is the first point of contact for members, vendors, callers, and staff, helping maintain a welcoming and organized office.This role oversees front desk operations, routes calls and guests Essential Functions Greet members, dependents, surviving spouses, and union representatives in a courteous and professional manner. Answer and direct incoming phone calls, emails, and front desk inquiries promptly. Receive, sort, and distribute mail, deliveries, and outgoing correspondence. Process return mail by recording it in the appropriate ID file. Maintain orderly reception and common areas to support a positive visitor experience.Provide clerical support, including data entry, filing, copying, and document preparation. Manage sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality. Perform other related duties as assigned. Job Requirements and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. 1–3 years of front desk, receptionist, customer service, or administrative support experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional phone presence.Proficiency with common office software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks. Ability to remain courteous, calm, and efficient in a busy reception environment. Commitment to customer service, confidentiality, and reliability. Other Information Work Conditions : This role typically works at a reception front desk area with frequent phone use, computer work, and regular interaction with visitors, staff, and service providers.The position may require sitting or standing for extended periods, managing a steady flow of inquiries, and maintaining a professional presence during regular business hours. Additional Information : This position may involve providing support in other areas of ESC, as needed. Attendance at certain Union meetings may also be required.Consistent with ERISA-related requirements and organizational policy, employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check, and individuals with felony convictions are ineligible for employment.
