Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Inspector to support inbound material operations at our Green Bay, WI facility. This role involves inspecting, grading, and directing incoming scrap metal while maintaining strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and inspect inbound scrap metal to the facility
- Identify and grade inbound scrap materials
- Reject unacceptable items and ensure quality standards are met
- Direct customers in traffic flow and proper unloading areas
- Complete inspection tickets and provide to customers
- Obtain customer signatures on appropriate material certificates
- Maintain good working relationships with customers
- Operate yard equipment as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
- Prior experience in metals preferred
- Ability to interact with customers and vendors in a friendly and courteous manner
- Strong attention to safety and detail
