About the role
Job Description:
Job Description We are looking for a fast learner person to fit in the Safety Coordinator Assistant position to help us minimize the risk of job-related accidents. You will monitor operations to eliminate hazardous activities. Your work will be focused on prevention, so you need to be diligent and analytical. You will possess a keen eye for detail and a sensitivity for potential dangers. The goal is to support the creation of a healthy and safe workplace.
Responsibilities:
Advise on provisions to minimize safety risks.
Direct accident investigation procedures.
Keep records of safety-related incidents and propose corrective actions.
Organize and conduct safety training plans.
Collaborate with managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issues.
Intervene in unsafe activities or operations.other responsibilities included, but no limited: address employees when there is a safety violation, talk to supervisors to coordinate a safety plan, coordinate new personnel at different job sites.
Requirements:
Reliable transportation. Valid Driver License. Bilingual English/Spanish a big plus. Dependable and punctual. Flexible schedule, day/night hours, including weekends (if needed). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Your work will be focused on prevention so you need to be diligent and analytical. Pay rate to start is $18.50 hourly. Mileage reimbursement.
