Refrigeration SpecialistNOW HIRING: REFRIGERATION SPECIALIST Denton, TX | Food Manufacturing We are looking for an experienced Refrigeration Specialist to join a large-scale food manufacturing operation in Denton. This is a hands-on industrial refrigeration position for someone who knows how to troubleshoot, maintain, and monitor refrigeration systems in a production environment.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: Operate, inspect, and maintain industrial refrigeration systems
Work with ammonia (NH3), Freon, and glycol refrigeration Troubleshoot compressors, pumps, valves, evaporators, condensers, controls, and related equipment Diagnose refrigeration and HVAC issues and make necessary repairs Respond to equipment problems and breakdowns to help keep production running Perform preventative maintenance and routine equipment inspections Monitor temperatures and system performance in production and storage areas Maintain accurate maintenance, inspection, and service records Assist with refrigeration safety procedures, leak detection, and emergency response Work alongside Maintenance, Production, Sanitation, and Quality teamsSAFETY & COMPLIANCEYou'll be working around industrial equipment and refrigerants, so a strong commitment to safety is essential. Experience with: Ammonia refrigeration / PSMEPA refrigerant requirementsOSHA safety practicesHACCP / GMP / food manufacturing standards Food safety and sanitation requirementsWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR35+ years of industrial refrigeration experience Food manufacturing experience is highly desirableEPA Universal Refrigeration Certification required Ammonia refrigeration experience strongly preferredIIAR training/certification is a plus Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities Experience with PLC controls and automated systems is a plus Industrial maintenance experience is helpful Experience with boilers, compressed air, or water treatment is a plusSHIFT FLEXIBILITY REQUIREDCandidates must be willing to work either a DAY or NIGHT shift. The specific shift will be determined by the company's current staffing needs. Candidates should be comfortable working days OR nights, including occasional weekends or on-call coverage as required. WORK ENVIRONMENTThis is an industrial food manufacturing facility. The position may require working in cold environments ranging from approximately -10F to 40F, around loud machinery, moving equipment, and refrigerants. Must be able to: Work in cold conditions for extended periods Lift up to 50 lbs. Perform physical maintenance activities Wear required PPEWork safely around industrial refrigeration equipmentQUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalent required. Technical training, refrigeration schooling, or an Associate degree is a plus. We're looking for someone with solid industrial refrigeration experiencenot residential HVAC experience alone.
