About the role

Our client, an asset manager located in New York, NY is hiring a Middle Office Analyst for its derivatives operations team. Responsibilites included ensuring OTC and listed derivatives trades are booked accurately, confirmed on time and reconciled every day. The role works closely with traders, risk, finance and outside counterparties.
Responsibilities: Validate and enrich the day's trade bookings across OTC and exchange-traded derivatives, including interest rate swaps, CDS, FX forwards and options, equity swaps, futures and options. Manage trade confirmations and affirmations through platforms such as DTCC, Markit Wire and Swaps Wire, and escalate unconfirmed trades. Process lifecycle events such as resets, fixings, novations, terminations, exercises and expiries. Reconcile positions, trades and cash across internal systems, prime brokers, clearing brokers (FCMs) and custodians, and investigate and resolve breaks. Support daily P&L and price verification with the front office and product control. Monitor collateral and margin calls under ISDA/CSA agreements, for both cleared and uncleared trades. Support regulatory trade reporting under Dodd-Frank/CFTC, EMIR and SFTR as applicable. Keep static and reference data accurate, including counterparties, SSIs and product setup. Find process gaps and help with automation, controls and system upgrades.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics or a related field.1 - 3 years of middle office, trade support or operations experience at a bank, hedge fund or asset manager. Hands-on experience with derivatives, both OTC and listed, is required. Working knowledge of ISDA documentation, CSAs and the trade lifecycle. Experience with trading and risk systems such as Calypso, Murex, Summit, Enfusion, Charles River or Aladdin, plus Bloomberg. Advanced Excel skills. VBA, SQL or Python is a strong plus. Strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency in a deadline-driven setting. Clear communication with traders, counterparties and internal teams.
