About the role
- Retrieve, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages to the appropriate recipients across multiple locations.
- Complete scheduled mail delivery runs once daily, three days per week, as part of the full-time work schedule.
- Prepare outgoing USPS mail, apply postage, and transport items to the Post Office.
- Coordinate carrier pickups and process outgoing packages, including airfreight and overnight shipments.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, photograph incoming items using a customer-provided device, and monitor mail machine volume.
- Resolve package tracking and delivery issues, provide courteous customer service, and perform other related duties as assigned.
- Essential requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of experience in mail services, shipping and receiving, or a related field.
- Familiarity with USPS, FedEx, and UPS shipping procedures.
- Ability to use mobile devices for package documentation and tracking.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills with close attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate tasks across multiple locations.
- Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, and lift or carry mail and packages weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work in office, mailroom, and shipping and receiving areas and accommodate schedule adjustments as needed.
- Valid driver's license if required for assigned delivery duties.
- Experience with postage meters, mail processing equipment, and overnight shipping preferred.
