Job Description
Position Summary:
The Pharmacy Technician assists the Pharmacist with duties that facilitate the dispensing of medication in a timely manner.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Accepts prescriptions presented for the Pharmacist2. Opens or updates patient medication profiles3. Prepares receipts for prescription payments4. Enters prescription information in log book following established guidelines5. Files all prescriptions using established procedures6. Maintains patient profile cards according to guidelines7. Assists in inventory check of incoming supplies8. Assists in maintaining updated computerized operational information9. Assists in preparing monthly activity reports* Must be willing to work in our Heflin office.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or GED required; Pharmacy Technician ceritification preferred.2. Ability to type 45 wpm3. Must have interpersonal skills for effective relationships with professionals and patients.4. Pharmacy experience a plus.
