Role Description: The Senior Managing Director is a full-time remote role responsible for providing strategic leadership across a portfolio of business lines and key client relationships. This position oversees financial and operational performance, sets long-term business objectives, and ensures alignment with corporate strategy and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include guiding senior leaders, making data-informed decisions, approving major initiatives, and driving process improvements and innovation. The Senior Managing Director collaborates with executive stakeholders, leads cross-functional projects, and represents the organization in high-level client, partner, and regulatory engagements. This role also focuses on talent development, risk management, and fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture.
Qualifications: Demonstrated experience in executive or senior leadership roles, with responsibility for strategy, operations, and financial performance. Strong background in capital markets, securities services, financial services, or related professional services environments. Proven ability to lead and develop diverse teams, including coaching senior leaders and managing change across complex organizations. Advanced skills in analytical decision-making, problem-solving, and interpreting financial and operational data. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to boards or executive committees. Track record in managing key client relationships and driving growth through high-value, long-term partnerships. Experience overseeing risk management, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance frameworks. Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or similar) is preferred. Comfort working in a remote environment, with strong organizational skills and proficiency in digital collaboration tools.
