About the role
Data Security Process Improvement Analyst: This individual will collaborate across technology and business teams to assess current processes, support new initiatives, and ensure alignment with information security standards, regulatory requirements, and strategic goals. The candidate should be able to work across departments and have hands-on experience with information security tools, controls, or security-related initiatives. Experience improving governance, risk management, and compliance processes.
Core responsibilities:
Process mapping: Document current security workflows and identify bottlenecks. Control automation: Use tools to automate tasks such as access reviews and alert handling. Policy tuning: Adjust data loss prevention (DLP) rules to reduce false positives. Risk reporting: Track security metrics and prepare management reports. Risk analysis: Identify weaknesses in data handling practices and employee behavior. Automation tools: Use programming languages such as Python or platforms such as Power Automate. Data visualization: Create Power BI or Tableau charts to highlight improvement opportunities. Communication: Explain complex security risks in clear business terms. Tools and frameworks Data protection: Microsoft Purview. Security frameworks: ISO 27001 and NIST.
Note:
Advanced expertise in process improvement frameworks such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Green Belt certification is not required.
