About the Client: Metric is partnered with a growing industrial automation and systems integration company. Their solutions include robotic cells, assembly systems, material handling, and turnkey automation solutions for automotive, life sciences, and advanced manufacturing customers.
About the Role: This Sales Manager role is ideal for experienced professionals with a strong industrial automation, robotics, or turnkey systems sales background. This position focuses on expanding relationships with Fortune 500 customers through strategic account development. You’ll work closely with customers and internal engineering teams to identify opportunities and develop tailored automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and expand relationships with strategic manufacturing accounts. Prospect, qualify, and close complex automation and capital equipment opportunities. Leverage existing industry relationships to develop new business and expand key accounts. Drive sales of robotics and other advanced automation solutions. Partner with engineering and technical teams to develop innovative, cost-effective solutions. Expand customer relationships across the company’s broader automation portfolio. Maintain a consistent in-person presence with customers at major manufacturing facilities.
Qualifications: Proven experience selling industrial automation, robotics, or turnkey systems is highly preferred. Experience selling into automotive, medical device, life sciences, advanced manufacturing, or similar industrial markets is preferred. Strong relationships within major manufacturing or Fortune 500 accounts are highly preferred. Demonstrated success developing new business while expanding existing strategic accounts. Strong interpersonal, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills. Comfortable using CRM systems, Salesforce, and related business software. Willingness to travel within North America, up to 50% of the time. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Sales, Business, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
