About the role
This position reports directly to the Director of Credit Operations & Automation. The role supports the company in optimizing financial transactions and systems through key responsibilities, including monitoring and collecting on accounts receivable aging reports as assigned, reconciling complex customer accounts, processing cash applications, and performing other duties as required to support the accounting department. This is a high-volume role that requires strong B2B collections & reconciliation skills.
Qualifications:
At least 5 years of experience in commercial collections, with consistent exposure to accounts receivable and cash application work Strong working knowledge of account reconciliation, aging analysis, and receivables reporting Basic knowledge of general accounting principles and AR processes Strong mathematical skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook, with a demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software Experience with Net Suite is preferred but not required Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear and thorough follow-up with customers and internal stakeholders Excellent time management and attention to detail Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently within a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities:
Monitor aging and conduct collection efforts on past-due accounts as assigned. This role involves significant B2B collection activity. Research complex customer account discrepancies, past-due amounts, service cases, and credits with the assistance of the Director of Credit, dispatch/customer service, and sales personnel Process cash applications (ACH, checks, wire transfers)Research and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues Process new customer account applications Maintain and update customer accounts Prepare reporting for management Organize, label, and store physical and digital records. · Scan paper files into databases Perform other related duties as assigned to support the accounting department and communication skills Salary is contingent upon experience and would be flexible for the right candidate.
