About the role
We’re on the search for aVice President, Commercial Saleson behalf of our client, a well-established provider of fuel cycle management solutions and consulting to the nuclear energy industry. If you have 15+ years of experience in commercial sales or business development, preferably within the nuclear energy or energy-related industry, this may be an opportunity for you. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Vice President, Commercial Sales will develop and execute commercial sales strategies with a strong focus on delivering value to clients, fostering long-term relationships, and identifying new business opportunities. This leader will be instrumental in driving commercial success by expanding market share for the company’s products and services while developing and maintaining strategic relationships with key stakeholders in the nuclear industry to position the organization for sustained, long-term growth. The successful candidate will identify new business opportunities and key markets for expansion, create annual sales targets and booking objectives, and cultivate high-level relationships with current and prospective customers. This individual will monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to adapt strategies for growth, support proposal development and sales activities across all business units, and lead negotiations of customer contracts. The role also includes providing accurate forecasting and reporting on sales performance and representing the organization at key industry events, conferences, and trade shows. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving, capable of inspiring and building high-performing teams while making data-driven decisions. Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently in a strategic role while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role requires a willingness to travel, including multiple-night trips, approximately 30% of the year.
