Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced F5 / Cloudflare Security Engineer to support a major infrastructure modernization initiative for a Fortune 500 financial services organization. The engineer will play a key role in migrating web infrastructure from F5 technologies to Cloudflare while supporting application security, load balancing, DNS, and Zero Trust initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: Support the migration of approximately 200 sites and 50 affiliate hostnames from F5 to Cloudflare. Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cloudflare Cloud WAF environments. Design, configure, and maintain F5 load-balancing technologies. Support enterprise application security, traffic management, and perimeter controls. Collaborate on the migration of business applications to Zscaler ZPA.Support DNS infrastructure and Infoblox environments as needed. Work with security and networking technologies including Fortinet, Palo Alto, and NetScaler. Identify opportunities for automation and improved infrastructure inventory and operational efficiency. Support efforts to improve resiliency, security, patching, and overall operational risk.
Required Qualifications: Strong hands-on experience with Cloudflare Cloud WAF.Strong hands-on experience with F5 load balancing / BIG-IP.Experience supporting enterprise-scale network or application infrastructure. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a complex financial-services environment.
Nice to Have: DNS / Infoblox experience. Zscaler / ZPA experience. Experience with Fortinet, Palo Alto, or NetScaler. Infrastructure automation experience. Contract Requirements 6+ month contract, with potential for extension. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship. No Corp-to-Corp (C2C) arrangements.
