Position Summary: The Regional Parts & Service Manager is responsible for driving profitable aftermarket growth, increasing dealer capability, and supporting customer uptime across North America by embedding One Yanmar service standards, discipline, and execution rigor into all dealer-facing activities. This role serves as a strategic business partner to dealer principals, parts managers, service managers, and internal stakeholders to improve dealer performance, support customer retention, and accelerate parts and service revenue growth.
What You'll Do: Dealer Performance & Growth
Own and drive territory aftermarket parts and service revenue growth. Develop and execute dealer-specific business plans to increase Yanmar parts sales. Support customer retention initiatives and dealer profitability strategies. Promote adoption of One Yanmar dealer programs and initiatives. Drive utilization and penetration of aftermarket support programs. Identify performance gaps and implement improvement plans to achieve business objectives. Customer Support & Equipment Uptime Ensure rapid resolution of quality, warranty, and technical support issues. Lead CSI and NPS improvement initiatives with assigned dealers. Support warranty administration processes and maximize warranty recovery performance. Partner with dealers to improve customer experiences and equipment uptime. Act as a key liaison between dealers and internal support teams. Dealer Capability & Excellence Implement training and development plans to strengthen dealer performance. Promote participation in Yanmar technical and commercial training programs. Drive adoption and utilization of dealer support systems and tools, including: Dealer Portal YDS SA-Diagnostic SA-Remote Telematics Standardize dealer parts and service best practices. Provide coaching and guidance that improves dealer operational effectiveness. Inventory & Parts Management Ensure dealers maintain healthy parts inventories that support customer demand. Improve inventory planning and forecasting accuracy. Monitor stocking compliance and inventory health. Focus on availability of fast-moving parts to support service operations. Assist with critical parts backorders and expedited parts support. Align dealer inventory strategies with North American distribution policies and annual business plans. Governance & Performance Management Execute and enforce One Yanmar standards, reporting requirements, and accountability measures. Conduct monthly business reviews with assigned dealers. Monitor performance metrics and drive corrective actions when necessary. Escalate challenges quickly and lead resolution efforts. Deliver measurable business outcomes through disciplined execution.
Additional Responsibilities: Support strategic initiatives and organizational objectives as assigned.
Participate in cross-functional projects focused on dealer development and customer satisfaction.
Requirements: What You’ll Bring
Experience & Education
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered. Minimum 5 years of experience in parts management, service operations, aftermarket support, or dealer development within the construction equipment, agricultural equipment, or related industries. Experience supporting dealer networks in an OEM environment. Proven success managing parts programs, warranty administration, and service operations across multi-location or national dealer networks. Demonstrated ability to drive performance improvement and revenue growth through dealer partnerships. Live in and be able to travel extensively throughout an assigned territory (Western US: Utah, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona).
Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting compact construction equipment, including:
Compact Track Loaders (CTLs) Skid Steers Mini Excavators Experience developing and delivering technical training programs. Knowledge of KPI scorecards, dealer audits, and business planning processes. Technical Knowledge The ideal candidate will possess strong working knowledge of: Parts operations, warehousing, and inventory management practices. Aftermarket business operations and dealer support strategies. Shop and field service operations for compact equipment. Warranty administration processes, systems, and best practices. Parts forecasting, procurement, and distribution processes. Vendor and supplier management practices. Financial analysis, budgeting, cost control, and P&L management. Dealer Management Systems (DMS), ERP platforms, CRM tools, and operational reporting systems. Skills & Capabilities Proven leadership skills with a strong sense of accountability, ownership, and results orientation. Ability to influence dealer partners and cross-functional teams to drive performance and continuous improvement. Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze operational and financial performance and turn insights into action. Data-driven decision maker with experience using KPIs and metrics to achieve business objectives. Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities across a large territory. Effective collaborator who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Comfortable working across diverse teams and global business cultures. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and adaptable to new technologies, systems, and reporting tools. Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
