Quality Technician ManufacturingNSC Staffing has an immediate opening for a Quality Technician in Indianapolis, InQuality Inspector Monday-Friday 11pm-7:30am Pay Rate: 18.00 with potential OTQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED Previous experience in automotive industry (preferred) Previous experience in quality department (preferred) Previous experience in destructive quality testing (highly preferred)
Job Summary: A Quality Technician is responsible for performing metallurgical inspections and tests on in-process production parts to determine if it meets customer specifications. In addition, a quality technician may be expected to perform the tasks of a contract processing technician if the volume of work demands it. This is a fast-paced environment with meticulous attention to detail. The hours for this position are Monday-Friday 11:00PM-7:30AM with potential for overtime.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor induction hardening machine quench concentration
  • Section parts and prepare samples for quality inspections using abrasive blaster, cutoff saw, grinders and polishers, and mounting press
  • Inspect and test parts at prescribed frequencies using magnetic particle inspection unit, hardness testers, microscopes, and various gauges to verify in-process production meets customer requirements
