If you're ready to grow, lead and make a difference, come join our team and help shape the future of convenience.Job SummaryThe Director of Strategic Sourcing will provide strategic leadership for Private Brands Sourcing at 7-Eleven, partnering with Private Brands team and Product Development, Supply Chain, and Legal to enable scalable growth. This role leads a sourcing team responsible for developing sourcing strategies that enable innovation, managing domestic and import sourcing models, developing and maintaining supplier discovery and capability tracking, capturing savings, and leveraging enterprise scale to create competitive advantage.The Director also owns procurement best practices, contract lifecycle management, supplier relationships, and sourcing tools that support the Private Brands growth strategy. The ideal candidate brings experience in strategic sourcing, category management, supplier and contract management, cross-functional leadership, and can demonstrate translating business strategy into executable sourcing plans.Duties And ResponsibilitiesInclude But Are Not Limited To Lead the Private Brand Strategic Sourcing team through coaching, prioritization, clear performance expectations, and career planning. Build a high-performing culture of thought leadership, accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and business partnership. Develop and execute a multi-year Private Brands Strategic Sourcing roadmap in partnership with Private Brands team, enabling business growth, innovation, cost competitiveness, quality, speed to market, and risk mitigation.Leverage data-driven sourcing practices and fact-based negotiations using spend analysis, market benchmarks, supplier insights, and competitive bidding to identify savings, pricing opportunities, supplier improvements. Lead complex sourcing negotiation strategies for domestic and import programs.Partner with business stakeholders, Product Development, Sourcing COE, Legal, and Supply Chain, to protect quality while optimizing cost, service, flexibility, speed to market, and supplier accountability. Develop and strengthen a global supplier portfolio through discovery exploring capabilities, innovation, development process, speed to market, with a focus on supply certainty while ensuring all import regulatory requirements are effectively managed.Improve sourcing governance, processes, tools, templates, reporting, and decision frameworks to create scalable ways of working that support Private Brands and deliver savings, reduce risk, improve speed, strengthen supplier accountability, and support growth targets. Key Leadership Competencies Build strong relationships and influence stakeholders, suppliers, and cross-functional partners through indirect leadership across all organizational levels, including senior and executive audiences.Communicate sourcing strategies, business recommendations, and priorities clearly, tailoring message and level of detail to the audience while making complex topics easy to understand. Understand company vision, strategy, priorities, and related processes to provide leadership with informed recommendations on sourcing strategy, contract language, supplier capability, business value, cost, and risk.Solve complex problems by assessing the situation, using data and market insight, identifying root causes, developing practical solutions, and making informed decisions with initiative, ownership, and appropriate autonomy. Serve as a strategic sourcing thought leader by developing data-backed category and supplier strategies, challenging legacy ways of working, bringing external market insight into decisions, and influencing changes that enable Private Brands growth, agility, innovation, and enterprise value.Operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments by creating clarity, aligning stakeholders, identifying dependencies, adapting sourcing approaches, and converting complex business challenges into actionable strategies. Drive results by establishing business metrics, tracking sourcing project progress, reporting outcomes, and using performance insights to improve execution, accountability, and value delivery.Knowledge, Skills, And Experience Education: Bachelor's degree, Masters preferred Experience: 15+ years leading large, complex teams, projects, or strategic sourcing/procurement functions in a large organization; end-to-end sourcing process knowledge preferred. Experience developing sourcing strategies, category roadmaps, and supplier portfolios, preferably in Private Brands, consumer packaged goods, food and beverage, general merchandise, or related retail categories.Import sourcing experience preferred, including landed cost modeling, tariff and duty impacts, broker or trading partner models, logistics handoffs, supplier compliance, lead-time planning, and international supplier management. Demonstrated success leading RFx processes, sourcing strategies, and complex contract negotiations that support cost, quality, service, risk management, and business objectives.Strong analytical skills, business acumen, and process improvement mindset, with the ability to use data, market intelligence, supplier insights, to support sourcing decisions, executive recommendations, negotiations, and performance management.
