Connect Health is a rapidly growing locum tenens staffing firm specializing in physician and APP coverage nationwide. We are seeking an experienced Team Manager for our Locum Tenens Sales team to help drive revenue growth, oversee key client relationships, and support strategic expansion across our locums portfolio.
About the Role:
This is a manager-level role for someone who understands the locum tenens market, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can build, lead, and scale a high-performing sales functions and teams.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage full sales lifecycles and sales teams for locum tenens staffing, including client acquisition, expansion, and retention. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth and market penetration. Build and maintain strong client relationships with hospitals, health systems, medical groups, and MSPs. Partner closely with Recruiting, Credentialing, Finance, and Operations to ensure high-quality delivery and client satisfaction. Forecast sales performance, manage KPIs, and provide regular reporting to senior leadership. Identify new business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and secure long-term agreements. Mentor and develop sales team members, fostering a culture of accountability and performance. Ensure compliance with industry standards, client requirements, and internal processes. Represent Connect Health at client meetings, conferences, and industry events as needed.
Qualifications:
3 plus years of experience in locum tenens staffing (required).Proven record of exceeding revenue targets in a sales or business development leadership role. Strong relationships within the locums ecosystem preferred. Deep understanding of MSP/VMS platforms, rate structures, and credentialing workflows. Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop sales professionals. Highly organized, metrics-driven, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment. Ability to travel for client meetings and industry events as needed.
Required Skills:
Existing locum tenens industry relationships required. Strong knowledge of MSP/VMS systems, rate structures, and credentialing processes. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Ability to mentor and develop sales staff. High degree of organization and performance-driven mindset.
Preferred Skills: Willingness and ability to travel to client sites and industry events as needed.
