About the role

Machine Operator Our customer in Freeport, Illinois is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. Were recruiting a Machine Operator (Side Winder) to work full-time on 2nd shift (3:00pm 11:00pm). As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining specialized equipment used to wind materials into finished products. Responsibilities of the Machine Operator (Side Winder)Set up, operate, and maintain side winder machinery. Wind materials such as wire, yarn, or synthetic fibers onto bobbins, spools, or reels. Monitor equipment performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality output. Inspect finished products for quality and consistency. Troubleshoot equipment issues using strong problem-solving skills. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Work collaboratively to meet production goals and deadlines.
Requirements and Qualifications: Strong problem-solving abilities. Experience working with complex machinery such as CNC equipment, grinders, drawing machines, or laser machines preferred. Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn specialized equipment. Attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to train on 1st shift for 48 weeks before transitioning to 2nd shift. Pay for Machine Operator (Side Winder): Starting at $23.00/hour.
