About the role

We are recruiting a National Sales Manager for an established consumer lifestyle company specializing in eyewear and fashion accessories. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can develop sales strategy, grow key channels, and remain closely involved in execution. The National Sales Manager will oversee a diverse business spanning specialty retail, national accounts, eCommerce, off-price, and direct-to-consumer channels. This person will also lead two inside sales representatives and partner closely with product development, marketing, and operations. The right candidate understands how to grow a multi-channel consumer products business while protecting margins, strengthening brand positioning, and ensuring the product assortment meets the needs of each customer and channel.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute the national sales strategy across wholesale, specialty retail, national accounts, eCommerce, off-price, and DTC channels Lead, coach, and establish priorities for two inside sales representatives Set sales goals, forecasts, account strategies, and seasonal growth initiatives Expand relationships with gift, outdoor, and other specialty retailers Identify new accounts, reactivate dormant business, and uncover growth opportunities within existing customers Develop inside sales programs, promotions, outreach campaigns, and seasonal selling plans Oversee the Amazon business, including assortment, pricing, promotions, product content, inventory coordination, and performance Monitor DTC performance and contribute to merchandising, assortment, and promotional strategies Manage and grow key national and off-price retail relationships Evaluate promotional and closeout opportunities while protecting margins and brand positioning Partner with product development on channel-specific eyewear and accessories assortments, packaging, pricing, and exclusive programs Work closely with operations to align forecasts, inventory, and customer demand Track sales performance, channel profitability, forecasts, and other key business metrics Take ownership of results and operate with an entrepreneurial, hands-on mindset
Qualifications: At least 7 years of sales experience within eyewear, accessories, consumer products, lifestyle brands, gift, outdoor, or a related category Experience managing multiple sales channels, including wholesale and eCommerce Previous experience leading or working closely with an inside sales team Working knowledge of Amazon Seller Central or Vendor Central Experience managing national or strategic retail accounts Strong understanding of forecasting, pricing, margins, promotions, and channel performance Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on sales execution Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills Comfortable working within a collaborative, entrepreneurial organization
Preferred Experience: Experience selling eyewear, fashion accessories, or other branded consumer products Experience selling through specialty gift, outdoor, or independent retail channels Familiarity with off-price retail Experience with Amazon advertising or marketplace growth This is an opportunity to take ownership of a multi-channel eyewear and accessories business and directly influence its next stage of growth.
