Welder Fabricator

Pay: $23.00-$30.00/hour depending on experience

Job Description: We’re hiring an experienced Fabricator for our fabrication team. You need at least 3 years of structural steel or grating fabrication experience and a solid grasp of shop drawings and blueprints. We want someone who takes pride in quality work and keeps the shop safe and professional.

What You’ll Do: Fabricate structural steel and grating components from shop drawings, blueprints and specifications Read and interpret drawings to work out what each job needs Measure, cut, fit, assemble and prep materials for welding and final fabrication Make sure finished parts meet the required dimensions, specs and quality standards Weld and handle related fabrication tasks as needed Inspect completed work for accuracy and quality Operate shop tools and equipment safely Keep your work area clean, organized and safe Work closely with fabricators, welders, supervisors and other shop staff What You Bring 3+ years of structural steel or grating fabrication experience (required) Ability to read and understand shop drawings and blueprints Strong measuring, layout, fitting and fabrication skills Welding certificate preferred, but not required if you have hands-on welding and fabrication experience Safe, confident use of common fabrication tools and equipment Attention to detail and a commitment to quality Ability to follow instructions and meet production deadlines Dependable, safety-minded and a good team player Professional shop etiquette: you respect coworkers, keep a clean area and follow shop procedures

Nice to Have: Welding and fitting experience Experience working from detailed fabrication drawings Knowledge of standard fabrication practices and safety procedures

Physical Requirements: Stand, walk, bend and stoop for long periods Lift and move materials as needed Work safely around steel, fabrication equipment and welding operations
