About the role
Develop, implement, and monitor strategies to recruit and develop GM's future dealer operators
Collaborate with regional network teams to develop and grow the network of fully vetted dealer candidates
Facilitate quarterly Dealer Candidate Expertise Assessment and National Candidate Pool Selection Panel Interview processes
Execute the LINEAGE program for dealership successors
Collaborate with field network teams to match potential candidates with opportunities
Provide candidate status updates to Advisory Councils
Develop an annual candidate recertification process for the National Candidate Pool
Propose and develop IT solutions and improvements for efficient candidate-data access
Coordinate monthly progress updates to regional teams and the Dealer Development Director
Lead strategies to proactively identify, manage, and reduce operational losses for at-risk dealers
Requirements Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing, or related areas
3-5+ years of experience in field, sales, marketing, or a dynamic, fast-paced, multitasking environment
Dealer Network experience preferred
Advanced communication and presentation skills
Strong relationship-building skills
Excellent organizing and planning skills; project management is a plus
Ability to independently handle and resolve conflicting priorities
Strategic and creative thinking
Willingness to ask questions, take initiative, and be resourceful
Ability to collaborate with senior leadership, divisions, regional teams, and external vendors
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, challenging team environment
Dedication to quality and accuracy in analyses
Strong critical-thinking and analytical skills, including producing concise, actionable insights from large, multivariable datasets
Organizational and project-management skills, with ability to manage multiple projects, deliverables, and deadlines
Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to present to senior leadership and dealer councils
Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Must not require GM immigration sponsorship now or in the future, including H-1B, OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, TN, and J-1 support
