About the role
The Packaging Supervisor is responsible in the aid of the tableting, filling, packaging and labeling of pharmaceutical products.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise packaging personnel as established by Packaging Supervisor Aid in training personnel (GMPs, SOPs, and general operations)Troubleshoot equipment problems and escalation of issues to maintenance and management Know how to operate all key machinery, presses, labelers, staplers, counters, balances, etc. Set up for and work with handicapped personnel, e.g., Nishna Productions, and other outside personnel Provide training to packaging associates and ensure they are proper trained for work assigned Promote a safe work environment at all times and remediation of any unsafe conditions Make recommendations and take ownership of continuous improvement projects in packaging Fill-in for the Packaging Supervisor in their absence Support organizational KPI’s and goals on a daily basis Promote a pro-active culture that embraces right the first time approach to work environment Focus on quality and safety as the primary goals in all aspects of the job Assist in the development of robust CAPA’s to resolve issues experience in packaging Support the usage of computer systems that promote more effective records & data entryREQUIREMENTS:EDUCATION
Required: High School Diploma
Preferred:
Associate Degree or Baccalaureate DegreeEXPERIENCE:Required: On the job training and at least 12 months in manufacturing
Preferred: Two years of packaging experience in pharmaceuticals operations
