About the role
- Manage the financial aspects of multiple construction projects from setup through completion
- Own project budgeting, job costing and financial reporting
- Monitor project costs, commitments and financial performance
- Manage project-related AP and ARMaintain AR and AP aging
- Prepare and process owner draws through payment
- Manage subcontract and purchase order accounting
- Process subcontractor invoices through Textura
- Manage accounting for change orders
- Handle NTOs, lien releases and related documentation
- Work closely with Project Managers on project financials and projections
- Prepare for and participate in monthly Owner Financial Meetings
- Communicate directly with clients regarding project financial matters
- Support and provide guidance to project support staff
- Ensure project financial information is accurate and timely
- What We're Looking ForRequired:4+ years of construction accounting experience
- Strong general contractor and job cost accounting experienceExperience managing the financial side of construction projects
- Strong understanding of project budgets, AP/AR, draws, subcontractors, change orders and job costing
- Strong Excel and accounting systems skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work directly with Project Managers and clients
- Associate degree or equivalent relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
- Sage Intacct experience
- Textura experience
- Procore experienceExperience supporting large-scale commercial construction projects
