About the role
Wellness Coordinator Skaalen Retirement Services is seeking a motivated and compassionate Wellness Coordinator to provide fitness, exercise, and wellness programming for our residents and community members.
What You'll Do:
Lead and deliver safe, engaging wellness, fitness, and exercise programs. Support residents and participants in achieving individual wellness and fitness goals. Monitor participation and progress and maintain accurate documentation. Identify opportunities to improve existing programs and help develop new services. Promote wellness programs and encourage participation and enrollment. Monitor fitness equipment and supplies and recommend improvements as needed. Participate in community presentations and activities that promote Skaalen's wellness services. Follow established procedures and participate in quality improvement activities. Collaborate positively with coworkers and other members of the care team.
What We're Looking For:
High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in exercise science, wellness, health, or a related field preferred. Certification as a personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health/fitness specialist, COTA, PTA, or in a related field preferred. Current lifeguard certification or willingness to obtain one. Experience working with or providing fitness/activity programs for older adults preferred. Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism. Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude. Why Join Skaalen?
