About the role

Ticketing Associate The Hobby Center for the Performing Arts is seeking a part-time Ticketing Associate. The Ticketing Associate provides exemplary customer service to our Hobby Center patrons by selling tickets and assisting with any necessary information. Preferred candidates will have experience in customer service. Knowledge of Ticketmaster and/or Tessitura as well as experience in performing arts ticket office are a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Answer incoming calls regarding Hobby Center events
  • Answer incoming e-mail inquiries
  • Sell single tickets and subscriptions at the ticket office
  • Exchange tickets for season subscribers
  • Reconcile cash drawer at the end of each shift
  • May perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Calculate mathematical computations and handle financial transaction accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Follow all policies/procedures, risk management, health and safety protocols, rules, regulations, and emergency procedures established at the facility
  • Demonstrate ability to carry out tasks in a reliable, productive, and expedient manner
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with patrons, clients, employees, and others
  • Maintain a customer service-oriented attitude
Ability to work long and irregular hours that may vary due to events and may include day, evening, weekends, and holidays. Education and/or Experience High School diploma or GEDTicket office or guest services background preferred Cash handling experience preferred Computer Skills Operate computerized ticketing system and standard office equipment
