About the role

Our company is experiencing unprecedented growth. We are seeking a strategic procurement manager. This individual will establish a procurement vision by leveraging and optimizing current procurement strategies. They will also promote expeditious cost-effective sourcing while developing existing talent to carryout procurement duties.Responsibilities include providing strategic guidance to support sourcing approaches for Replacement Parts and EPC/Design Build business; developing and managing contracts to ensure the most optimal terms and conditions are achieved; reviewing, developing and ensuring compliance standards within purchasing policies and aligning with industry best practices; developing sourcing strategies for parts and EPC subcontractors; participating in business team meetings to ensure engagement and facilitate relationships with internal business partners. Occasional travel will be required.This position is currently an on-call (i.e., no benefits) position with the hours for this position could vary weekly from zero to 40, and potentially sometimes more than 40.The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree (or higher) in business administration, business management or related field and at least two years of relevant capital procurement experience. If no degree, must have at least six years of relevant capital procurement experience.The ideal candidate will have experience in any/all of the following: developing procurement strategies; developing master agreements, business schedules, NDAs, etc.; legal matters pertaining to procurement; developing purchasing policies; mentoring less experienced staff.
