Overview
As Director, HR Business Partner you partner with senior leaders to align people strategy with fast-growing business goals. You bring credibility, strategic insight, and a willingness to influence decisions that move the business forward. You act proactively to anticipate needs, not just react to requests. You will drive talent planning, leadership development, and organizational design at scale in a fast-paced retail/consumer environment. This role blends strategy, data, and people decisions to support Skechers’ growth and long-term capability.

Responsibilities Own the partnership with assigned corporate business units and be the single point of contact for leaders Develop deep understanding of client groups' strategy, revenue drivers, cost structure, and workforce dynamics Bring data and judgment to decision-making, challenging assumptions with evidence Lead talent planning, including succession planning, leadership development, and workforce planning Coach senior leaders through performance management, organizational change, and team effectiveness Navigate employee relations, guiding leaders through sensitive situations and coordinating with compliance Make data-driven insights using Workday and Excel to inform decisions and create impactful presentations Collaborate as a high-ownership member of the HR team and contribute to global initiatives
Key requirements 10+ years of progressive HR experience with significant time as an HRBP supporting corporate functions Experience leading talent planning at scale (succession, workforce planning, organizational design) in fast-moving environments Workday proficiency and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, charts, data modeling)Interest in AI and emerging tools with a willingness to leverage technology to improve work and insights Bachelor degree required; MBA or related graduate degree preferredSHRM-SCP or SPHR certification preferred Global or international HR experience preferred; second language a pluscredibility with senior leadershipstrong business acumeninfluence and stakeholder management Workday Excel (Pivot Tables, charts, data modeling)workforce analytics
