About the role

We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Engineer III to support the design, development, integration, and testing of advanced aerospace systems. This role will contribute throughout the engineering lifecycle, from initial concept development and prototyping through system validation and production readiness. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in aircraft design, engineering analysis, flight testing, and multidisciplinary system integration. This individual will apply sound engineering principles to solve complex technical challenges, support project execution, and help deliver reliable, high-performance aerospace solutions.
Key Responsibilities: Lead engineering design and development activities for aircraft systems, subsystems, and associated components. Develop test plans, procedures, technical documentation, and test execution materials to support engineering validation. Perform engineering analyses, modeling, and simulations to evaluate system performance, structural integrity, reliability, and safety. Plan, coordinate, and support testing and validation activities, including preparation, execution, and results analysis. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams spanning mechanical, electrical, software, and systems disciplines to support effective integration. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering team members. Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including design specifications, test plans, technical analyses, and test reports. Apply established engineering methodologies and stay informed of emerging technologies and industry best practices. Support compliance with applicable aviation regulations, engineering standards, and quality requirements. Communicate technical findings, project status, and engineering recommendations to internal leadership and project stakeholders. Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes, technical tools, and development practices. Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support program objectives.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline. At least seven years of relevant aerospace engineering experience, including aircraft design and development. Experience with engineering design and analysis tools, including computer-aided design (CAD), finite element analysis (FEA), and computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Working knowledge of aircraft flight control systems, autopilot technologies, and flight tuning methodologies. Strong understanding of aerodynamics, propulsion, aerospace materials, and structural design. Experience developing test plans, supporting test execution, and conducting engineering risk assessments. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document and present complex technical information. Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams while managing competing priorities. Familiarity with applicable aerospace engineering standards, aviation regulations, and development processes. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if required for assigned responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering or a related technical discipline. Experience leading engineering projects or coordinating technical activities across a development program. Experience supporting the design, integration, and testing of unmanned or remotely operated aircraft systems. Familiarity with AS9100 quality management principles and aerospace product development practices. Work Environment and Physical RequirementsAbility to travel periodically to support engineering, testing, integration, and project-related activities. Flexibility to work nonstandard hours, including evenings or weekends, when project requirements dictate. Ability to work in engineering, manufacturing, laboratory, hangar, and test environments. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
