About the role

General Manager, Custody & Compliance At GoMining, a General Manager is the end-to-end owner of a business direction, responsible for its strategy, P&L, product, team, and overall results. A GM combines business, product, and operational ownership — setting priorities, managing unit economics, driving execution, and making decisions based on data. The goal is to run the direction as a business and take full responsibility for its growth, profitability, and performance. We are looking for a General Manager to own Custody & Compliance at GoMining — the business line responsible for how customers move funds into and out of our ecosystem safely, quickly, and reliably. This is not a traditional compliance role. You will own the entire direction as a business and product — from custody infrastructure and KYC/AML to deposits, withdrawals, Travel Rule, fraud controls, provider relationships, and customer experience. Your goal is to build a system where compliance protects the company without becoming an unnecessary barrier for legitimate customers. You will own the strategy, economics, product roadmap, delivery, key metrics, and engineering team behind the direction.
Responsibilities: Business & Product Ownership Own Custody & Compliance end-to-end, including strategy, roadmap, priorities, budget, and business results. Define and track the key metrics for deposits, withdrawals, KYC, fraud, and customer activation. Improve the speed and conversion of customer onboarding and money movement. Balance risk prevention with customer experience and commercial impact. Build financial and operational models and make decisions based on measurable business outcomes. Work directly with C-level stakeholders on strategy and priorities. Custody & Money Movement Own custody infrastructure and relationships with custody providers. Own deposit and withdrawal flows across the GoMining ecosystem. Improve transaction processing speed, reliability, and success rates. Identify bottlenecks and continuously improve the customer experience around money movement. Manage incidents and critical issues related to customer funds. KYC, AML & Travel Rule Own the operational implementation of KYC, AML, and Travel Rule requirements. Build scalable compliance operations, including case management, decision SLAs, escalation processes, and operational workflows. Ensure compliance controls are effective without unnecessarily reducing conversion. Continuously analyze false positives and missed fraud cases. Work closely with Legal and Risk while maintaining ownership of the customer and business outcome. Fraud & Risk Develop fraud prevention guardrails across deposits, withdrawals, and customer verification. Monitor fraud losses and false-positive rates. Build data-driven approaches to identifying suspicious activity. Ensure risk controls scale together with transaction volume. Providers & Partnerships Own relationships with custody, KYC, AML, and infrastructure providers. Negotiate commercial and operational terms. Reduce dependency on individual providers where appropriate. Drive integrations together with engineering teams. Hold providers accountable for agreed service levels. Team & Delivery Lead a dedicated engineering team and work directly with the Tech Lead. Own priorities, backlog, releases, and delivery. Set clear goals and measurable outcomes for the team. Hire, develop, and make performance decisions when required. Use AI and automation to keep the team lean and increase execution speed.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
