Part-Time Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) / Accredited Testing Facility (ATF) Assistant
Hourly Rate: $36.56 This position is an on-campus, part-time, up to 19 hours per week appointment based in Champaign, Illinois. The Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) serves as a technical specialist who conducts testing, performs inspections, and documents and certifies results for designated American Welding Society (AWS) certification exams. The position follows all applicable AWS requirements and Parkland College procedures when administering and certifying exams. It also provides operational support to the Welding Faculty Program Director to help maintain testing equipment and the Accredited Testing Facility (ATF). This is a non-instructional position. It does not teach, assess credit coursework, assign grades, or make academic decisions.
