Description Big-D is looking for a dynamic Construction Technology Specialist that will be based in our Salt Lake City office.
The Construction Technology (CT) Specialist is responsible for the successful adoption, support, and maintenance of specific construction technology software and hardware for the organization. The CT Specialist will have a highly collaborative approach with users, learning and development, and other supporting roles to ensure the organization maximizes its investment in Construction Technology.
Experience/Training:
3 + years of Experience in the Construction Industry
Proven experience with Construction Industry Workflows, Best Practices, Software and Hardware
Proficiency in installing, configuring, and maintaining construction enterprise applications
Critical Skills:
Organization and time management skills
Excellent attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
Excellent Communication skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate in a customer service environment
High level of ethics and confidentiality
Effectively communicate information of a highly technical nature to non-technical customers
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Comprehensive understanding of technical environments
Passionate about technology and innovation
Duties, Responsibilities and Expectations: (other duties may be assigned to meet business needs)
Configure, maintain, implement and support software and hardware to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Work closely with the Data Team to ensure software integrations work consistently and effectively.
Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and optimize system performance
Work closely with the Security team to ensure software and hardware meets company security standards
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and tailor applications to meet organizational
needs
Provide advanced technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting and resolving application related issues in
collaboration with internal and vendor technical support representatives.
Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to facilitate knowledge sharing and improve support
efficiency
Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices in application administration to drive continuous
improvement initiatives
Identify, research, and implement solutions to improve productivity, assure accuracy & reduce costs.
Identify opportunities that support business initiatives, including automation of processes.
Supports adoption of software and hardware through collaboration with Learning and Development team and others as a
Subject matter expert to ensure training is relevant and up to date.
Builds and maintain positive relationships with key vendor contacts
