About the role
We are looking for a dynamic leader to drive the day-to-day production and management of a distribution warehouse and yard. The role is responsible for the efficiency and effectiveness of distribution-center operations and ensuring materials are delivered correctly and on time.
Responsibilities:
Supervise daily warehouse activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service. Schedule and oversee the warehouse team to meet fulfillment-center demand. Manage workflow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime. Meet regularly with warehouse leads to review productivity and develop actionable plans for productivity improvement and loss prevention. Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction as a primary goal. Maintain warehouse operating standards and procedures covering: Product handling and storage Equipment utilization Inventory management Shipping and receiving Regularly inspect equipment, tools, and machinery and oversee general maintenance as needed. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing safety standards and procedures while complying with applicable legal regulations.
