Business Development Manager – Recruiting & Staffing
Salary: $85,000 base + 6% commission
Employment Type: Full-TimeAbout the RoleWe are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our recruiting and staffing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, sales, recruiting, or staffing and a proven ability to build relationships with hiring managers and decision-makers. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, generating new job orders, and partnering with our recruiting team to deliver high-quality talent to clients.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute strategies to generate new recruiting and staffing business. Identify and target prospective clients through cold calling, email outreach, networking, referrals, LinkedIn, and other channels. Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers, HR professionals, executives, and other key decision-makers. Schedule and conduct client meetings to understand hiring needs, workforce challenges, and staffing requirements. Generate new job orders and manage the sales process from prospecting through close. Partner closely with recruiters to ensure client requirements are clearly communicated and effectively fulfilled. Maintain accurate client and sales activity records in the CRM.Follow up consistently with prospects and existing clients to develop long-term partnerships. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with clients when appropriate. Identify opportunities to expand existing client accounts and increase revenue. Stay informed about hiring trends, market conditions, and competitive activity. Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly business development goals.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in business development, recruiting, staffing, sales, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of generating new business and closing deals.
  • Strong cold-calling, prospecting, networking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with hiring managers and C-level executives.
  • Self-motivated, competitive, and goal-oriented.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with recruiters and internal teams.
  • Experience with CRM systems and LinkedIn is preferred.
  • Recruiting or staffing industry experience is strongly preferred.
